Explore the Darling Marine Center trails and coastline with the DMC
Education Coordinator, Lili Pugh. Though each walk be be a little
different, all will focus on the flora and fauna found on the Darling
property. A little human history will
be thrown in, too. Local habitats
include forest, field, wetlands, and estuarine environments. All ages are welcome, though young children may find the trails and terrain challenging. Good hiking or walking shoes are recommended. Nature walks
generally last 2 hours.
July 11, 25 & August 8 • 9am
Walking tours of the DMC will be
offered in July and August. Learn a little about the history of the Darling Marine Center and a lot about the about the marine research conducted by UMaine faculty and students. Visit the flowing seawater laboratories, teaching classrooms and other
facilities. Tours generally last 2 hours.
